The theme is the Johto region. It was difficult to decide what I should draw that would both capture what the Johto region means to me and be fun to draw. I thought about Lugia or Ho-oh, but decided they would be too obvious. I was also trying to find a way to incorporate the landscape of the Johto region. I finally decided on one of my favorite Johto Pokemon, Tyranitar. It's just so cool ^^

Another option was the Ruins of Alf, but I passed on that (maybe because I hate drawing architecture XD )

So, here is a Tyranitar protecting its nest and young on top of a mountain with a city in the background.
